If you have a Nintendo Switch (available on Amazon for $277), you can look forward to three new games in the eShop this week. We give you a first impression.
Metal Slug Tactics
Metal Slug Tactics is a turn-based tactical role-playing game that takes the classic run-and-gun series Metal Slug into a new genre. Developed by Leikir Studio and published by Dotemu, the game combines tactical combat with roguelike elements. Players command a team of familiar characters from the series, all viewed from an isometric perspective. Each level has specific mission objectives - such as defeating all enemies, protecting important targets or reaching a certain point on the map. The game will be available in the Nintendo eShop from November 5 and costs around $25.
Mario & Luigi: Brothership
In this adventurous RPG, the iconic brothers Mario and Luigi set sail on a brand-new journey - this time across the high seas. In Brothership, they uncover a mysterious pirate island, where they’ll not only face familiar foes from the Mushroom Kingdom but also tackle challenging puzzles. Success depends on the duo working together seamlessly, embodying the teamwork only real brothers could pull off. True to form for Mario titles, Nintendo has priced the game at $60.
Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions
On November 8, Harry Potter fans can take to the skies, joining the pitch as chasers, seekers, keepers, or beaters in a fully immersive Quidditch experience. Each match centers on scoring by launching Quaffles through goal rings - or by catching the Golden Snitch to clinch victory. The game features a career mode that supports up to three players, as well as an online competition mode. While players on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox got early access on September 3, Nintendo Switch users will have to wait until November 8. The standard edition costs around $30, while the deluxe edition, priced at $40, includes bonus content like exclusive outfits, brooms, and 2,000 gold.
