The iQOO 3 and Meizu 17 Pro replace the Redmi K30 Pro Zoom and Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro as AnTuTu's August price-performance hotshots
There have been some changes in AnTuTu’s price-performance charts from last month. Although Redmi still commands the more affordable end of the smartphone sector, iQOO and Meizu now have devices that are considered new price-performance hotshots for August. AnTuTu ranks devices across five separate tables based on price ranges and how well the smartphones perform in its well-known benchmarks.
The iQOO 3 was in second position behind the Redmi K30 Pro Zoom last month but has now snatched the lead place in the 3,000-4,499 yuan table (US$439-US$658). However, this seems to be more a case of the iQOO smartphone taking advantage of a price cut for the Redmi K30 Pro Zoom, as the device from Xiaomi has now taken up a position in the 2,000-2,999 yuan chart (US$292-US$439).
As for the Meizu 17 Pro, this smartphone finds itself at the top of the expensive 4,500 yuan and above chart (US$658), beating out the previous champion Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro. The two smartphones actually have quite similar specs as both have Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processors and, in this case, 256 GB RAM. However, AnTuTu has selected the 12 GB variant of the Meizu 17 Pro over the 8 GB version of the Mi 10 Pro as the new leader.
Yet again, it is clearly Redmi that is the overall ruler of these price-performance charts. Last month we reported that the brand had 11 devices in the tables, and the same is true for August. But iQOO has five devices scattered over the charts, including two in first place, which seems to indicate that the Vivo sub-brand (both part of BBK Electronics) is becoming a force to be reckoned with.
