Redmi, Honor, and Huawei control the latest AnTuTu midrange smartphone performance chart with the Redmi 10X and 10X Pro proving to be affordable 5G standard-bearers
The affordable 5G smartphones Redmi 10X and Redmi 10X Pro have managed to maintain their positions at the head of AnTuTu’s midrange smartphone performance chart for August. Both Redmi smartphones are fitted with a Dimensity 820 SoC and have the same configurations in this particular table: 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage.
The two Redmi devices are then followed by a trio of smartphones from Huawei and a trio of Honor devices before another Redmi phone, the Redmi K30 5G, takes up ninth place. Kirin 985-powered smartphones take up third to fifth positions while devices sporting a Kirin 820 chipset occupy sixth to eighth places.
The strong positioning of smartphones such as the Redmi 10X range once more demonstrates the increasing availability of decent-performing affordable devices with 5G capabilities being produced by Chinese OEMs. While Qualcomm has the flagship chart held in an iron fist, the midrange performance chart is a much more competitive affair with four different processors from three different suppliers vying for the top positions.
