Dimensity 820 vs Dimensity 1000L: Redmi 10X Pro 5G leapfrogs the OPPO Reno3 5G in AnTuTu midrange phone chart for June
The OPPO Reno3 5G with its MediaTek Dimensity 1000L chipset has finally been toppled from its perch at the head of the AnTuTu midrange phone performance chart. Smartphones featuring processors from the same company have made an explosive entrance into the table, with the Dimensity 820-powered Redmi 10X Pro 5G taking up first position with an average score of 402,092 points. In third place is the Redmi 10X 5G with the same MediaTek Dimensity 820 SoC, managing a strong result of 398,440 points.
This means devices with MediaTek Dimensity chips now hold the top three places, while the Kirin 985 (three phones), Kirin 820 (three phones), and Snapdragon 765G (one phone) are found inside smartphones in the remaining seven positions. More might be expected from the Redmi 10X smartphone in this particular benchmark, as it has already been recorded scoring over 415,000 points in the past.
The 7nm MediaTek Dimensity 1000L chipset features four Cortex-A77 cores @2.2 GHz and four Cortex-A55 cores @2.0 GHz. In contrast, the recently released Dimensity 820 SoC has four Cortex-A76 cores @2.6 GHz and four Cortex-A55 cores @2.0 GHz. The GPU parts also affect the AnTuTu performance, with the Dimensity 1000L featuring a Mali-G77 while the Dimensity 820 has to make do with the slightly lower-spec Mali-G57.
