Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro: Stylish and classy smartwatch leaks ahead of mid-September anticipated launch
Huawei's next smartwatch has leaked again, this time courtesy of Roland Quandt and WinFuture. Previously, the smartwatch has popped up at multiple regulatory bodies, while Huawei Ailesi published several marketing renders, albeit relatively low-resolution ones. Now, Quandt and WinFuture have released high-resolution renders, revealing the Watch GT 2 Pro from all angles.
The Watch GT 2 Pro has a 1.39-inch AMOLED screen that resolves at 454 x 454 pixels, which sits within a stainless steel case. Huawei has flanked the screen with two buttons, like it did on the Watch GT 2. The similarities do not end there either, as Huawei has re-used the 32 MB of RAM, 4 GB of flash storage, GPS module and 455 mAh battery from last year's model, too.
However, the Watch GT 2 Pro will support wireless charging, a change that was first recognised in FCC and SIRIM regulatory filings. According to WinFuture, the Watch GT 2 Pro will have a heart rate monitor, a SpO2 sensor, along with support for sleep and stress-level monitoring. Additionally, the smartwatch will be water-resistant up to 50 metres and will be available in multiple colours.
Huawei decided against releasing the Watch GT 2 Pro at IFA 2020. Instead, it may showcase the smartwatch at the Huawei Developer Conference (HDC), which runs between September 10-12. The company is also expected to unveil HarmonyOS 2.0 and EMUI 11 at HDC 2020. Huawei has teased that "many more exciting technologies" will be showcased during the event, too.
