The Apple iPhone family welcomes the new additions of the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max
It feels like it has been a long time coming, but the Apple iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max are all now official. Most of the specifications and hardware details about the phones have already been leaked over recent months, but nothing is for certain until the OEM in question confirms it. The iPhone 11 family can boast with having the Apple A13 Bionic processor onboard, while Apple’s designers have made sure the smartphones have had an overhaul, especially in the camera department. All three devices will be available for pre-order on September 13 and will start shipping on September 20.
The entry-level iPhone 11 sports 4 GB RAM and comes with 64 GB (US$699), 128 GB (US$749), or 256 GB (US$849) storage options. The 6.1-in LCD display has a 1792x828 resolution and can be surrounded in a case that is colored in black, green, yellow, purple, red, or white. The smartphone is splash, water, and dust resistant, and it offers a main dual camera setup consisting of a 12 MP ultra wide lens and a 12 MP wide lens. The fast-charge capable (18 W) battery has a capacity of 3,110 mAh and Apple claims it can offer up to 65 hours of audio playback.
The iPhone 11 Pro has 6 GB of RAM and three storage choices: 64 GB (US$999), 256 GB (US$1,149), and 512 GB (US$1,349). The 5.8-in OLED has a 2436x1125 resolution and finish options include gold, space gray, silver, and midnight green. The iPhone 11 Pro is also splash, water, and dust resistant and it sports a rear-facing triple camera system that is made up of a 12 MP ultra wide lens, 12 MP wide lens, and 12 MP telephoto sensor. The 3,190 mAh battery can utilize fast-charge technology and can offer up to 65 hours of audio playback.
The top-end iPhone 11 Pro Max also has 6 GB of RAM and gives customers the choice of three storage capacities at increasing prices: 64 GB (US$1,099), 256 GB (US$1,249), and 512 GB (US$1,449). The largest iPhone 11, which has a 6.5-in OLED that offers users a 2688x1242 resolution, comes in the same color choices as the iPhone 11 Pro model. It offers resistance to water and dust like the Pro non-Max variant, and it has the same triple camera setup. However, the iPhone 11 Pro Max has a larger capacity battery at 3,500 mAh, which can apparently deliver up to 80 hours of audio playback.
For those with an older iPhone there are trade-in deals to be had, with amounts depending on the model of iPhone you want to send in. An iPhone XS Max in good working order will get you up to US$600 discounted, while an iPhone SE will only knock off up to US$45 from the price tag.
