The TCL Book 14 Go is the OEM's first-ever laptop. It has debuted with always-on LTE/4G connectivity - then again, it owes this spec to an aging Snapdragon 7c SoC. The rest of its specs are similarly underwhelming, although the company pitches it at appropriate educational or small business use-cases.

TCL is known for display-centric products, yet has never announced a laptop before. Now, at CES 2022, that has changed with the launch of the Book 14 Go. Then again, despite its maker's reputation, there is no more than an HD 14-inch panel to be found here.

This panel is at least found in an appreciably thin and light chassis, at 14mm high and 1.3kg in weight. Then again, this has been done through the inclusion of plastic in most areas apart from a metallic hinge. The resulting Book 14 Go contains the Snapdragon 7c processor, which means it also has a SIM card slot for optional, continual 4G/LTE data.

The Book 14 Go is also rated to leverage its light-on-performance Qualcomm platform for a battery life estimated at up to 12 hours between charges. This is done via USB type-C, even if the rate involved is just 25 watts (W).

The inaugural TCL notebook also supports Wi-Fi 5 with 2x2 MIMO and Bluetooth 5.1. The OEM intends to release it in the second quarter of 2022 for €350 (~US$397).
