TCL's flagship 8K TV wins a CES 2022 award already
TCL announced a new line of 8K TVs, equipped with its in-house OD Zero technology, in 2021. Now, the OEM has announced that the flagship of this X9 line has won an CES 2022 Innovation Award, well in advance of the actual conference. One of its robot vacuum cleaners has also been recognized by the CTA committee already.
The Consumer Technology Association (CTA) has released its picks for awards associated with the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show (CES) of 2022 already, and TCL is on the list of winners. The OEM has won a Best of Innovation Award for its X925 PRO TV.
This 85-inch flatscreen device is the most premium model from TCL's new 8K mini-LED range. The company asserts that it delivers "revolutionary imagery performance", as it has debuted with OD Zero technology. This is an optical-distance shrinking adaptation geared towards uniform brightness for the panels in which it is found.
The X925 PRO also offers a total pixel count of over 33 million (being 8K and all), an extra-slim design, the Google TV UI and Onkyo-branded speakers for "room-defining" sound. It has been joined in preliminary CTA acknowledgement by the Sweeva 6500 robot vacuum, one of TCL's smart-home ecosystem products. It is now a CES 2022 Innovation Awards honoree.

I became a professional writer and editor shortly after graduation. My degrees are in biomedical sciences; however, they led to some experience in the biotech area, which convinced me of its potential to revolutionize our health, environment and lives in general. This developed into an all-consuming interest in more aspects of tech over time: I can never write enough on the latest electronics, gadgets and innovations. My other interests include imaging, astronomy, and streaming all the things. Oh, and coffee.
