Year after year, Samsung retains its crown as the biggest smartphone company in the world thanks to a solid mix of outstanding budget, mid-range, and flagship models. That carries over to a smaller scale as well, with a report showing how much the South Korean company dominates the Android market on a month-to-month basis.
As revealed by Counterpoint, Samsung was, by far, the most dominant Android 5G smartphone maker in February, with five entries in the top ten best-selling charts for the month. The Galaxy A52s leads, of course. Phones in that line have generally always been the best-selling Android devices going back to the A50.
The Galaxy S22 Ultra comes in at a close second, however—impressive considering its price tag. The flagship phone accounted for 2.87% of all Android 5G smartphone sales in February. On a side note, the S22 Ultra also appears to be the best-selling device in the S22 series lineup, with Counterpoint Research claiming it constitutes two-thirds of S22 series sales. The Galaxy S21 FE follows in third place, and the Galaxy A32 5G in fourth.
