Gorgeous render pictures show the sleek Hyundai Ioniq 6 electric sedan
Like many other established automakers, the South-Korean brands Kia and Hyundai are slowly but surely becoming serious competitors for the EV market leader Tesla. In an attempt to create an electric sedan that could ultimately challenge the popular Tesla Model 3, Hyundai in particular is working on a more elegant counterpart to the stylish Ioniq 5.
A rather unknown automotive YouTube channel named "GotchaCars" has now released a video which includes the probably most sophisticated unofficial render pictures of the Hyundai Ioniq 6 yet. It has to be noted that although the purported design seen in these pictures is based on the well-known spy shots of a camouflaged prototype of the electric sedan, the Korean automaker's final design might look different in some regards. However, the Hyundai Ioniq 6 seen in these pictures sports a very appealing sleek design which would undoubtedly find plenty of buyers on the white-hot electric car market.
Just like the smaller sister model, the Hyundai Ioniq 6 will be based on the company's "E-GMP" platform, and it might build on the powertrain found in the electric hatchback. Its current AWD model variant produces up to 320 horsepower, while the RWD version can travel up to 303 miles on a single charge. It is expected that the more premium Hyundai Ioniq 6 will at least match or even surpass these numbers. The official reveal of the Hyundai Ioniq 6 is expected to take place later this year.
