The electric RAM 1500 truck appears in a beautiful render picture
Although Ford's and Chevrolet's all-electric versions of the full-size F-150 and Silverado pickup trucks have already generated an enormous amount of reservations and orders, the Stellantis-owned automaker Dodge does not yet offer a battery-powered model variant of its quite popular RAM trucks. The production of a corresponding EV is scheduled to kick off in 2024, but that does not mean that the automotive rumor mill stands still.
An unofficial render picture created by the ingenious graphic designers at TopElectricSUV now allows a first clear look at the electric RAM 1500. Admittedly, the design seen in the image embedded below is of a rather speculative nature as the automaker has so far only released vague teasers which for exampled show the front fascia including the LED running lights and the illuminated RAM grille. The eye-catching design of the hood of the electric RAM 1500 has also been adopted in this render picture.
The Michigan-based automaker has yet to unveil the planned technical specifications of the electric RAM 1500. As of today, it is only known that the truck will be based on the company's "STLA Frame" platform which is intended for large trucks and light commercial vehicles. Furthermore, the electric RAM 1500 can supposedly be charged at up to 150 kW. We will report on further details about the enticing electric truck as soon as they become available.
