Steam is now giving away a unique zombie game for free

A pretty unique narrative-driven zombie survival game is up for grabs on Steam at no cost, but only for a short time. Scheming Through The Zombie Apocalypse: The Beginning is currently free to claim as part of a limited-time promotion, that is, the Steam Spring Sale 2025. This deal lets players add the game to their libraries permanently before the deal expires on March 18.

Originally released in 2018, the game takes a slightly different approach to the zombie genre, replacing action-heavy gameplay with decision-making, influence tactics, and a lot of dark humor. Players step into the shoes of Hank, a retired salesman rabbit, and his canine sidekick Larry as they navigate the post-apocalyptic world by manipulating others into doing the dangerous work for them.
