At first glance, Schedule I might seem like a throwaway game with its simple graphics, odd art style and noseless characters. But Steam reviews tell a different story. Despite only a demo being available, the game has already racked up over 4,000 reviews – 98% of them positive.
Schedule I transports players to the gritty West Coast town of Hyland Point, where they begin as a small-time dealer with no money, products or connections. It all starts with a few plants in a rundown motel room. Players must gather soil and seeds, nurture their crops, then manually harvest and package them – all through engaging mini-games.
To rise to the top as a drug lord, players must build a network, recruit dealers and establish efficient trade routes. The city can be explored on foot, by skateboard or in vehicles to optimize distribution. But danger lurks around every corner. Rival cartels battle for control, while the police deploy undercover operations and raids to dismantle the trade. Those who succeed can expand their empire, upgrading from a cramped motel room to a full-scale laboratory.
Full release on March 24
Schedule I is being developed by solo creator TVGS and has been available as a demo since December 10, 2024. The full release isn’t far off, set for March 24, with a price tag of $20.
