Arc Raiders has been a huge success, even though it was only available for a short while during the playtest. It is an upcoming extraction shooter being developed on Unreal Engine 5 by Embark Studios. While the playtest had limited gameplay opportunities, a datamine of the game has shed some light on the upcoming content, including new bosses, a fourth map, additional game modes, skills, and more.
Posted on the Arc Raiders subreddit by CoUsT, information derived from game files shows mentions of what the developers are working on. It should be noted that none of this is final content and could already be scrapped, never making it to the full release. Additionally, some values can be incorrect or wrongly interpreted, so take this with a grain of salt.
That being said, a new map has been discovered called ‘The Blue Gate.’ It is said to be among the total five confirmed maps named ‘PracticeRange’, ‘BuriedCity’, ‘Spaceport’, ‘TheBlueGate’, and ‘TheDam.’ There are no POIs or Points of Interest for The Blue Gate which suggests it is currently in development. There were several other locations mentioned in the data as well, besides the already known ones. These are titled ‘DeathMatch’, ‘CombatValidation’, ‘MountainCompound’, and ‘Onboarding’ (tutorial).
As for the new bosses and enemies, there are codenames, abilities, and HP stats for what are expected to be new and existing enemies in Arc Raiders. These codenames are Salt, Wasabi, Mustard, Fennel, Pepper, and Radish. Salt is an enemy with 20K HP while Wasabi, believed to be the Queen, has 35K HP. Mustard is believed to be King with 60K HP and the rest are supposed to be smaller enemies.
There is also mention of a “Pendulum System/Move” believed to be an ability related to movement or a new game mode. Speaking of game modes, the data shows ‘HarvesterHunt’, ‘OutpostDefense (with Elite waves, LastStandOrbital)’, ‘Reclaim’, ‘Salvage’, and ‘Siege (with Elite)’ as some of the game modes already present or coming to Arc Raiders.
There’s a lot more information pertaining to character skills and abilities, loot, armors, inventory, audio, weather system, and even a first-person camera. As mentioned earlier, all this information should be taken with a grain of salt as the final game may not feature everything that is mentioned.
