Arc Raiders seems to be doing well with positive feedback from those who got access to the playtest. Players are appreciating the extraction shooter mechanics, graphics, and other aspects of the game. Developer Embark Studios shared this success in a statistical format revealing that players have engaged in four million rounds of the extraction shooter as of May 4. What’s more interesting is that very few have been able to defeat the toughest boss.
The playtest for Arc Raiders started on April 30 and will end today, May 5. It is a closed test so interested players had to request for an invite. Thanks to the stats shared by the developer on X, those who were able to get access have played four million rounds which is over 1.7 million hours invested into the game, as of May 4. During this, players were able to destroy seven million Arc enemies. However, the toughest boss, called The Queen, was only defeated a mere 58 times, showing how challenging the game can be.
The Queen is a large mechanical spider that requires a lot of patience, dedication, and fire power to bring down. Queens are a type of Arc character which including Wasp, Tick, Rollbot, Bison, Fireball, Rocketeer, Hornet, and more. The Queen is the largest and evidently the toughest to defeat.
At the time of the post by Embark, there was only one player or Arc Raider who had managed to upgrade Scrappy the Rooster to max level (level 5). Since then, there have been several. Upgrading or training Scrappy requires materials found in-game and the rooster gathers materials when players go on raids to enable further upgrades to the workshop.
Arc Raiders does not have a release date yet and is listed as coming soon on Steam.
