The entry-level Nvidia RTX 5060 is expected to launch on May 19 but was announced alongside the RTX 5060 Ti variants in April. Ahead of the launch, the first RTX 5060 GPU has been listed on Best Buy for just about the same starting price as quoted by Nvidia. It seems to be the only RTX 5060 model for now and is listed as ‘Sold out.’ This model is factory overclocked and has a dual-fan cooling system.
The first RTX 5060 GPU listing comes from PNY via Best Buy and the card is priced at $299.99 (before taxes). At the time of writing, it is the only RTX 5060 GPU listed by the retailer. Nvidia announced a starting price of $299 for the RTX 5060 cards so this PNY offering is a good start. More board partner cards from brands like Asus, Gigabyte, MSI, and others can be expected to exceed the $299 price tag.
This PNY RTX 5060 is factory overclocked with a base clock speed of 2.28 GHz and boost clock speed of 2.54 GHz. This is a slight increase in the boost clock compared to 2.50 GHz for Nvidia’s spec. The PNY offering has an all-black design with a dual-fan cooler, three DisplayPort 2.1 connections, and an HDMI 2.1 connector.
It features 8 GB of GDDR7 VRAM and that’s the only configuration this card comes in. In the case of the RTX 5060 Ti, the 8 GB model has shown notable performance shortfalls compared to the 16 GB variant. Nonetheless, the RTX 5060 houses 3,840 CUDA cores, 614 AI TOPS Tensor cores, 58 TFLOPS Ray tracing cores, and supports DLSS4 with Multi-frame Generation.
