Soundcore's new AeroClip earphones are now available in Europe. What's special about these is they sit comfortably around your ears without blocking them. It’s not the first open-ear design out there, but it’s one of the latest to try balancing comfort, awareness, and decent sound quality in a daily-use format.
Instead of going in your ear, the AeroClip rests just above it using a thin titanium wire and a rubber-like outer layer. It’s quite lightweight - under 6 grams per earbud - and should be flexible enough to stay put while walking or running. They're also IPX4 rated, so sweat and light rain shouldn’t be a problem.
Battery life is pretty solid for this category. You get about 8 hours on a charge, and the case pushes that up to 32. The headphones charge through a USB-C port on the case.
The sound comes from 12mm drivers, and there's support for LDAC if you’re using a compatible Android device. The Soundcore AeroClip also has two mics per side with AI voice enhancement, mainly for calls. There's no ANC, but that’s expected for an open design like this. Control is handled through touch gestures on the clip itself. They also come with different sized clips in the box in case the standard ones don’t fit well.
The AeroClip will be available in Midnight, Champagne Mist, and Rosy Brown colorways for €129.99. They'll be purchasable via Soundcore’s website, Amazon, and some MediaMarkt locations across Europe. The earphones are already available in the US, priced at $129.99 on Amazon.
