Anker already offers a wide variety of products, including headphones, most of which are marketed under the sub-brand Soundcore. Now, the Chinese company has introduced a new pair called the Sleep A30. As the name suggests, these are headphones specifically designed for use at night. They are shaped like earbuds and, according to Anker, are equipped with rather small yet powerful drivers.
Meanwhile, two sensors can detect ambient noise. The primary purpose of these headphones is to cancel out the snoring of a partner sleeping in the same bed. Therefore, the ANC feature can be adjusted to adaptive or active, or turned off in order to rely on the passive noise isolation alone. Anker also claims that the charging case itself can detect snoring.
Anker’s new wireless earbuds are scheduled to launch on June 16 on Kickstarter. This is probably a disguised preorder promotion, as the company likely doesn’t need any external financing for its new Soundcore headphones. Consequently, the financial risk of backers should be marginal. Early adopters will supposedly be able to benefit from a $90 discount. Last but not least, it should be noted that snoring is more than just a noise disturbance, as it can also indicate health issues that these earbuds won’t solve. Alternatively, the predecessor named Soundcore A20 is available for $179 on Amazon.
