Huawei FreeClip 2 upgrades and color options detailed in new leak

Huawei touts its inaugural FreeClip as a type of on-ear audio peripheral that could nearly be mistaken for a fashion accessory, thanks to a design often emulated by other examples such as the Baseus Bowie MC1 (currently discounted to $49.99 (with Prime) on Amazon). 

Now, there might be more of the same on the way with the upcoming FreeClip 2, also to be known by the model number T0027, according to the typically reliable leaker Digital Chat Station - except that the newer version's sound quality might be better.

The "C-bridge" ear-clip might be more comfortable in this iteration, while the earbuds' wireless connectivity might be stronger with increased data-transfer speeds.

The FreeClip 2 might also be the first set of its line to come in Denim Blue or Feather Sand White in addition to a more predictable Modern Black colorway.

The next-gen open-ear buds are now tipped to launch alongside the "iteratively" upgraded Mate XTs tri-folding smartphone later in 2025.
