NTT Sonority has announced the limited-edition nwm ONE Star Wars open-ear wireless headphones with dual drivers and active noise-leakage suppression to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the original movie. The headphones have an MSRP of 44,000 yen (~$300). Preorders begin May 1, with sales starting May 28. The headphones will also be exhibited at the Osaka Comic Convention 2025 held from May 2 to May 4.
The limited-edition nwm ONE uses sound effects from the movies as guidance when operating the headphones. This includes the sounds of a TIE Fighter firing its lasers and an X-wing Starfighter starting up. The headphones include the Star Wars logo as well as the image of an X-wing (white model) or TIE Fighter (black model). A headphone stand with an image of the Death Star is included. The packaging sleeve showcases the Millennium Falcon on the front and the Death Star on the back.
The nwm ONE headphones use an open-ear design that allows wearers to hear the surrounding environment at all times while active noise-leakage suppression minimizes annoying others nearby. Dual-drivers for each ear, comprising a 35mm main unit and 12 mm tweeter, support Sony 360 Reality Audio for immersive surround sound. Dual MEMS Magic Focus Voice technology reduces background noise while allowing voices to be clearly heard during calls outdoors.
