GMKtec EVO-X2 has made its official debut as the "world's first" mini PC with the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395, and now, another Chinese-made Strix Halo system has surfaced. It's the Sixunited AXB35-02, and per the company, it can offer up to 120 W of performance.
As ETA Prime has recently shown, the top-end APU from the Strix Halo lineup doesn't perform well when it's power-constrained. So, this 120 W TDP mode should make the Radeon 8060S iGPU of this mini PC offer a decent 1440p gaming performance when paired with the right amount and kind of RAM.
Speaking of which, Sixunited says that the AXB35-02 can be equipped with up to 128 GB of LPDDR5X-8000 memory. Such a high amount of RAM isn't for average mini PC users, but this support is likely for those who wish to run Large Language Models locally. After all, the local DeepSeek-R1 models are gaining a good amount of popularity lately, especially in China.
Nonetheless, as Sixunited has revealed, the AXB35-02 sports a dual-fan cooling system for the Ryzen AI Max+ 395. The heat pipes also look quite capable of making the Zen 5 APU offer a stable performance under heavy loads. There's a built-in power supply as well.
Among the other details that the company has revealed so far is that the AXB35-02 mini PC has a 4-liter chassis. That doesn't necessarily make it the most compact mini PC, but the built-in PSU is a big plus. Sixunited, however, didn't share the pricing information, but this Ryzen AI Max+ 395 system is expected to be available in May 2025.
