Deal | SanDisk Extreme and Extreme PRO V2 Portable SSDs are listed at up to 67% off on Amazon's US site
SanDisk touts its Extreme (V2) series of portable NVMe SSDs as "tough enough to take with you", as the IP55-rated storage accessories are supposedly durable enough to survive 2-meter drops without harm to a user's data. Their distinctive, almost key-fob-like Red Dot Design Award-winning build come in SKUs that range from 500GB to 4TB on the OEM's Amazon store.
It is currently offering deals on its Extreme SSDs that see the USB 3.2 Gen 2 version, rated for up to 1050MB/s and up to 1000MB/s in terms of read- and write-speeds respectively discounted by up to 67%. That applies to its 2TB variant, which drops in price to US$149.99 compared to its typical RRP of US$459.99.
Alternatively, there is a PRO version of the Extreme that upgrades to a "forged aluminum chassis" and a different shape for its keychain cut-out. It is also rated for "up to 2000MB/s read/write speeds", and is listed in 1TB, 2TB and 4TB options at 52%, 55% and 44% of their original prices, or US$159.99, US278.03 and US$399.99 respectively.
The Extreme and Extreme PRO also add a type-C interface to their convenient form-factor, which might indeed make them an ideal companion for a laptop, camera or perhaps even a console that is part of a life on the go. SanDisk gives no indication of how long these offers last, although they may be contingent on the length of a Black Friday/Cyber Monday 2022 event.
