Teclast has presented the M40 Plus, which it sells through AliExpress. Listed for US$179.99 on the company's website, Teclast actually charges at little as US$139.45 on AliExpress for the tablet, a power adapter, a charging cable and a card slot tool. Alternatively, the M40 Plus can be purchased with a protective cover and a compact keyboard, should you need either of these.
The M40 Plus is based on the Kompanio 500 MT8183, a chipset that MediaTek released in 2019. Built around a 12 nm manufacturing process, the Kompanio 500 MT8183 features four ARM Cortex-A53 CPU cores, four Cortex-A73 CPU cores and a Mali-G72 MP3 GPU, as well as an AI accelerator that delivers up to 0.5 TOPS of performance. Additionally, the M40 Plus has 8 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128 GB of UFS 2.1 flash storage, with the latter expandable via a microSD card.
Moreover, the M40 Plus has a 10.1-inch IPS panel that operates at 1,920 x 1,200 pixels in a 16:10 aspect ratio. According to Teclast, the tablet also has a 7,000 mAh battery, a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer, an 8 MP primary camera and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. Currently, the M40 Plus is only orderable in Sea Blue, although this colourway does not extend to the front, as Teclast's images show.
