The Onyx BOOX Tab Ultra is a new tablet that doubles as an E-reader. Based on Android 11, the Tab Ultra has a 10.3-inch dispaly, a Snapdragon 662 chipset and stylus support, among other features. The Onyx BOOX Tab Ultra is available for US$599.99, or for US$659.99 with a keyboard cover.

Onyx BOOX has started offering the Tab Ultra, a new E-reader and Android tablet. Like the Nova Air2, the Tab Ultra relies on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 662, an older mid-range SoC that the likes of Motorola has used extensively in the last few years. Additionally, the tablet has 4 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128 GB of UFS 2.1 flash storage, 1 GB RAM more than the Nova Air2 and 4x the storage.

For reference, the Tab Ultra utilises Android 11 like other Onyx BOOX tablets. Moreover, the device has a 10.3-inch display that outputs at 1,404 x 1,872 pixels at 227 PPI within a 225 x 184 x 6.7 mm chassis. Incidentally, the tablet weighs 480 g, largely on account of its large display and 6,700 mAh battery. Furthermore, Onyx BOOX has included a rear-facing camera array, an unusual choice for an E-reader.

Separately, the device supports inputs from its built-in touchscreen or its active stylus, which is capable of recognising up to 4,096 pressure levels. Currently, the Tab Ultra costs US$599.99, a price that includes a tote bag, a stylus case, replacement stylus tips and a protective case. Alternatively, Onyx BOOX sells the same bundle with an additional keyboard cover for US$659.99. More details about the Tab Ultra can be found on the company's website.
