If you made a resolution to read more this year, an eReader may help you achieve your goal, and one of the best on the market is Amazon's Kindle. Right now, the online retailer is selling two of its Kindle eReaders for up to US$50 off.

The Amazon Kindle Kids is currently on sale for US$84.99, a 29% discount from its list price of $119.99. The Kindle Kids is the same device as the standard Kindle (which currently sells for $99.99); it has the same case, capabilities, battery, and front light as the regular Kindle.

The main difference is that the Kids edition includes a cover with a whimsical design, a free one-year subscription to the Amazon Kids+ book subscription service, and a two-year warranty. Otherwise, it's the same experience as the regular Kindle.

If you want a device with higher pixel density, the Kindle Paperwhite Kids is on sale for $109.99, a $50 discount (31%) from its regular price of $159.99.

Like the Kindle Kids, the Kindle Paperwhite Kids is the exact same as the standard Kindle Paperwhite, although the kid version includes the same amenities as the Kindle Kids: a cover, a one-year subscription to Amazon Kids+, and a two-year warranty. For reference, the standard Kindle Paperwhite currently goes for $139.99. 

While the included covers may be too childish for some, they are removable. Essentially, this is a way to snag a Kindle or Kindle Paperwhite at a discount with an extra year on the warranty.
