One UI 9 finally lands on the Galaxy S24, Fold6 and Flip6 after a bumpy September

Samsung has started rolling out the stable One UI 9 update to the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6, bringing Android 17 to its 2024 flagships. The release began in South Korea and will likely reach more countries in the coming days and weeks.
Owners updating from One UI 8.5 face a download of about 3.8GB on the Galaxy S24 series and 3.5GB on the Z Fold6 and Z Flip6. Users already on the One UI 9 beta receive much smaller packages of about 500MB and 408MB respectively.
Samsung’s One UI 9 rollout hasn’t been smooth sailing. The company began releasing stable One UI 9 to the S26 series in South Korea on September 16, but its Thailand newsroom then moved the international release from September 21 to September 28 before removing the date altogether. The rollout finally made its way to the S26 series toward the end of last month, but the company did not give any reasons for the delay.
One UI 9 debuted on the Galaxy Z Fold8, Z Fold8 Ultra and Z Flip8 in July, which means Samsung has taken about three months to bring it to its 2024 flagships.
Galaxy S24 beta testers picked up four AI features from the Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy S26 during the One UI 9 beta.
