The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition (or under the China name, W25) is a thinner, lighter foldable with a wider display aspect ratio. There's a bit more RAM and a higher megapixel main camera too.

The cover display on the Z Fold Special Edition is much wider, making it far easier to compose longer texts and emails. In our opinion, the 21:9 aspect ratio is the sweet spot for the front panel. The inner display is also larger than the Z Fold 6 (8″ vs 7.6″). Providing a more immersive media and gaming experience. If you’re a camera aficionado, the Z Fold SE features the same 200 MP primary sensor found on the Galaxy S24 Ultra. Samsung left no stone unturned, fixing most of the Z Fold 6 issues highlighted in our review. If thin is in, the Z Fold Special Edition is a definite winner. When folded, it checks in at just 10.6mm thick, a 1.5mm reduction from the Z Fold 6 released just 3 months earlier.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition smartphone is a great add-on in the foldable lineup. It has a bigger screen, a slimmer body, and impressive camera features. But apart from this, the rest of the specs are identical to the Galaxy Z Fold 6. On top of that, the phone is currently exclusively in South Korea, and most likely released in China with rebranding. But as a foldable phone, Samsung offers exclusive multitasking features, a mesmerizing design layout, and a classic build. Not to forget, the rest of the perks offer an amazing user experience. Overall, the special edition isn’t a bad phone. Yet if you look for the competitor, you will find Vivo X Fold 3 Pro as an alternative. It has almost the same features at a slightly lower price.

So, remember the whole conversation about a Galaxy Fold that can finally compete with the designs we've seen from Chinese manufacturers? Well, let's just say we've got some possible good and bad news. For the last couple of weeks we've seen some subtle hints that Samsung is working on yet another product launch that could finally address how competition is owning foldable design. At first we thought we'd get some sort of teaser at Galaxy Unpacked, if not a product, but that didn't happen. Reports claim it'll still happen this year, but under an interesting launch approach.

This display format is in the mid-range for smartphones. It offers a compromise between good visibility, details and resolution on the screen, and you can still fit it into trouser pockets.
