Samsung Galaxy S27 CAD renders reveal a sneaky audio change the Ultra misses out on

Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S27 lineup is expected to launch early next year, and leaked details about the series are beginning to highlight subtle design changes across the family.

According to CAD renders shared by tipster Ice Universe, the primary bottom-firing speaker will feature different placements depending on the model you choose. The base Galaxy S27, Galaxy S27+, and the rumored Galaxy S27 Pro will shift their speaker grill to the right side of the USB-C port, while the top-tier Galaxy S27 Ultra retains the left-side placement seen on the current S26 series.

While moving a speaker grill may sound like a minor adjustment, it has real-world ergonomic implications for daily use. Right-handed users who rest their phone on a pinky finger often muffle left-aligned speakers while holding the device naturally.

Shifting the speaker to the right on standard models should keep audio clear during one-handed use, while left-handed users will likely prefer the orientation on the Ultra. Beyond audio placement, the CAD renders also show that all four models will include built-in magnetic arrays, enabling seamless attachment to magnetic wireless chargers and accessories without requiring specialized cases.

This design leak adds to a growing list of details emerging about Samsung's next-generation devices. Leaked CAD models previously pointed to the introduction of a smaller Galaxy S27 Pro model sharing the Ultra's design language. Meanwhile, supply chain reports suggest that the Galaxy S27 Ultra might miss out on UFS 5.0 storage and LPDDR6 memory due to tight component availability across the industry.

The flagship S27 Ultra is also tipped to feature a refreshed camera module design alongside potential price increases driven by rising manufacturing costs. Samsung is expected to officially introduce the full Galaxy S27 lineup during its typical early-year launch window in the first quarter of 2027.
