In our upcoming review, the new Oppo flagship receives a very good overall rating for a number of reasons. The successor to the Find X8 Pro features powerful hardware and, thanks to its large battery, offers excellent battery life. In Europe, the Find X9 Pro is priced competitively compared to other smartphones, such as the iPhone 17 Pro Max or Galaxy S25 Ultra. However, its MSRP of €1,299 is still very high.
Importing the Oppo Find X9 Pro could therefore be an attractive option for many prospective buyers, as Chinese prices are significantly lower than those for the global version. Furthermore, only the Chinese model variant is available with 1TB of storage. Our partner TradingShenzhen currently lists the Chinese Oppo Find X9 Pro for prices starting at €780.
In addition to the lower price tag, the Chinese version of the Oppo Find X9 Pro offers several advantages over the global model for the European market, which means that an import can make sense for quite a few users, and not just bargain hunters.
Chinese Oppo Find X9 Pro has fast charger in the box
One notable advantage of the Chinese model is that it comes with an included power adapter, and the Find X9 Pro is also available in a red color variant. Neither applies to the global model.
Unlike some other imported devices, such as the Xiaomi 17 or Xiaomi 17 Pro, the Chinese Find X9 Pro is a multi-language phone right from the factory. This means that English is available as a system language, although some Chinese characters will remain in some places.
There are also no significant limitations regarding LTE and 5G frequencies, so the Oppo smartphone is fully compatible with mobile networks in Europe. It also supports Android Auto and Widevine Level L1 DRM, which is convenient.
eSIM only supported on the global Find X9 Pro
That being said, there are also a few drawbacks that potential buyers should be aware of before placing their order. For example, the imported Chinese version does not have the official update guarantee that promises six years of software updates for the global European model. In addition, the warranty terms are limited, as full coverage only applies to purchases made within Europe, which could cause issues with repairs.
eSIM is not supported either, and pairing the phone with smartwatches that run Wear OS can often be difficult.
