Redmi Note 17 5G set to offer lackluster performance as details leak in full

Xiaomi released the Redmi Note 15 5G globally back in December last year. Like with its flagship series, the company appears to be skipping the 16 lineup entirely, and will instead launch the Redmi Note 17 generation in the coming months, with a new leak now revealing key details of what appears to be the Redmi Note 17 5G.
As shared by leaker PaperKing13, the device in question bears the model number "2607DRA18T". It's unclear what the "T" in that indicates, although it's likely some regional variant of the Redmi Note 17 5G. IMEI databases previously revealed the existence of devices with the model numbers "2607DRA18I", "2607DRA18C", and "2607DRA18G" as well, for the Indian, Chinese, and Global versions of the phone respectively.
As for the Redmi Note 17 5G itself, it looks to be a rather mundane affair. The listed specs confirm that it will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 6s Gen 4. That chipset is, for all intents and purposes, a rebadged Snapdragon 6 Gen 3—the SoC that underpinned last year's Redmi Note 15 5G (buy on Amazon US) globally. Both chipsets share the same Adreno 710 GPU as well, so it's unlikely that the Redmi Note 17 5G offers a tangible performance uplift compared to the Redmi Note 15 5G.
Other revealed specifications of the upcoming Redmi Note 17 5G include a a 50 MP JNS main camera, an 8 MP ultra-wide camera, and a 16 MP selfie snapper. The display has a 2772x1280 resolution and is likely a 120 Hz OLED. 6 GB of memory is listed as well, although it's just LPDDR4X RAM.
