Redmi K50 Pro: MediaTek Dimensity 9000 and Dimensity 8100 models tipped for March debut
Xiaomi finally launched the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition yesterday in China. The performance-focused phone debuted with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 as the first Redmi K50 series offering, and Xiaomi already has its sights set on other models in that series, powered by MediaTek's new premium chipsets.
As revealed by leaker Digital Chat Station, Xiaomi is set to launch three new Redmi K50 series phones next month. The leaker confirms that one of those models will feature MediaTek's Dimensity 9000. We expect that phone to be the Redmi K50 Pro+, and it will sit at the top of the lineup.
In addition, two other models are tipped to make their debuts. The first of those will likely be the Redmi K50 with a Snapdragon 870, joined by the Redmi K50 Pro, likely with a Dimensity 8000 or Dimensity 8100. Digital Chat Station recently revealed that MediaTek could be launching a Dimensity 8100 on March 1 as an overclocked variant of the Dimensity 8000. The Dimensity 8100 is also said to be the preference of OEMs over the regular Dimensity 8000.
