The world's first (non-rugged) 10,000mAh battery smartphone has been thought to come from Honor in 2026 - now, it seems it might actually come from Realme instead.
The brand already counts itself a "Battery Tech Pioneer", having demonstrated the ability to charge a mobile device at 320 watts (W) via USB-C during an earlier event.
Now, Realme has announced that it will showcase its largest ever battery during its 2025 828 Fan Festival, scheduled to take place on August 27.
The company's X account has tried to create some mystique by positing a "1?000mAh" value in a promotional graphic, but then references a "massive 10,000mAh battery" in the actual post.
All the same, it will be interesting to see if it is hyped to hit the market by next year as rumored previously.
In the meantime, a newer leak asserts that the flagship-grade Realme GT 8 will act as its harbinger with a huge ~8,000mAh battery of its own.
