Popular action-RPG game set to get its highest ever discount across all platforms next week

Black Myth: Wukong released in August 2024 to a rather mixed critical reception but has gone on to sell over 30 million copies since then. The action RPG game has a reputation for effectively never going on sale on any of the digital storefronts, but is now set to get its highest-ever discount.
As confirmed by studio and publisher Game Science on X, Black Myth: Wukong will be getting its heaviest discount yet next week, presumably in celebration of its two-year anniversary. To be exact, the studio has confirmed that all digital versions of the game will get a 30% discount across all platforms. That, of course, includes the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, Steam, Epic Games Store, and Tencent's WeGame, with the standard edition expected to be priced at $41.99.
The Standard Edition, Digital Deluxe Edition, and Deluxe Edition Upgrade will all get the same 30% discount applied when the sale begins. On the PlayStation Store, this sale event will run from August 12 to August 26, while it ends on August 25 on other listed platforms. Black Myth: Wukong has gone on sale just twice before this, receiving a 20% discount in June 2025, and a 25% price slash earlier this year.
