PS Wallet Credit program is live, offering $10 credit on game purchases

Looks like PlayStation’s Wallet Credit program is finally live, at least in some regions. The program is said to be a replacement for the PlayStation Stars loyalty program that was cancelled in May 2025. With Wallet Credit, players who buy select games get an instant wallet credit that they can then use on any other PS Store item.

The information was shared by a user on the r/playstation subreddit. The post shows a listing for The Blood of Dawnwalker with a limited-time Wallet Credit promotion, along with an expiry date of September 29. The user reported that $10 was instantly credited to their account after they went through with the purchase.

The Wallet Credit program was first spotted in February this year, but there was very little information available at the time. It was known that Sony would be replacing its PlayStation Stars loyalty program at some point, and it seems like the day has finally come. Notably, neither Sony nor PlayStation has made any announcement about the same. Moreover, it seems to be limited to US users for now.

As per another Redditor, some other games, including Onimusha: Way of the Sword, Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy, Star Wars Zero Company, Mortal Shell II, and others, have the same offer. And it seems to be a flat $10 PS Store Credit. 

Since Sony has not shared details about this program, it’s hard to say whether the amount of store credit is based on the price of the game or which regions it will be available in. It is also unclear if it’s a temporary program or if it’s here to stay. We were unable to verify the same on our US, Canada, or India-based accounts, so it seems like a limited rollout for testing prior to a full global release.
