Motorola's GrapheneOS phone is teased with wild camera specs and an audio partnership

Motorola has teased the design of the Signature 27, the successor to the Signature launched in January 2026, through its official X account. The post shows the phone's rear panel for the first time ahead of its September 22 reveal at the Snapdragon Summit. The teaser shows an olive-green finish with a camera module arranged in an asymmetric cluster, a departure from the conventional vertical bar or grid layout used on most flagships, including the original Signature.

The module holds four cameras and a flash. Based on earlier teasers, the array likely consists of an ultrawide camera, a 200 MP main camera (expected to use Sony's LYTIA LYT-901, a 1/1.12-inch sensor with 0.7 μm pixels), a standard telephoto camera, and a periscope telephoto camera, with the fifth ring housing the flash unit. Dual-telephoto configurations are typically reserved for "ultra-class" flagships, making this an ambitious camera array to compete in the flagship segment.

A separate teaser has since confirmed a Bang & Olufsen audio partnership, with a large circular speaker unit bearing the "Audio by B&O" mark visible near the camera module. This would mark a switch from Bose, which tuned the speakers on the original Signature, to B&O.

The Signature 27's teased September 22 reveal date lines up with Qualcomm's next flagship chip announcement at the Snapdragon Summit. Given that GrapheneOS has said that the first Motorola phone to support GrapheneOS will be the successor to the Motorola Signature, the Signature 27 may very well be the first non-Pixel GrapheneOS phone.
