Over half a dozen Snapdragon 8 Elite flagships confirmed to launch before Samsung Galaxy S25 series makes its official debut
The Snapdragon 8 Elite is now here as Qualcomm's latest flagship mobile chipset. In summary, the company claims to have made various advancements from last year's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, which powers numerous high-end devices, including the Galaxy S24 Ultra (curr. $1,092.40 on Amazon). Incidentally, we have provided a full write-up of the Snapdragon 8 Elite separately.
For reference, the likes of Honor and Xiaomi were present during Qualcomm's presentation yesterday, during which they revealed that the Magic7 and Xiaomi 15 would utilise the Snapdragon 8 Elite, respectively. Moreover, Qualcomm also outlined that several other Android OEMs plan to release Snapdragon 8 Elite-powered smartphones, too.
To that end, many more have now confirmed as much in subsequent posts online. On top of that, some have offered up the names of the devices with which they will showcase Qualcomm's latest chipset as well. By our count, only Samsung has refrained from revealing its Snapdragon 8 Elite plans so far.
If previous years are anything to go by, then it will wait until early 2025 before unveiling its first Snapdragon 8 Elite products, which are expected to be the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus and Galaxy S25 Ultra in most markets. Currently, the Snapdragon 8 Elite has been confirmed to feature in the following devices:
- Asus ROG Phone 9
- iQoo 13
- OnePlus 13
- Nubia Z70 Ultra
- RedMagic 10 Pro
- Realme GT7 Pro
- Xiaomi 15
