Reviews for the Oukitel WP35
With its huge battery, the Oukitel WP35 has endless stamina which, however, comes at the cost of higher weight and chunkier dimensions. But, at under $300, its night vision camera, decent storage specs and pure Android 14 mean you get a lot for your money.

The Oukitel WP35 is an outstanding bargain that will serve anyone who doesn't mind carrying a phone in their pocket that tests the strength and integrity of their belt. The WP35 weighs about as much as my Pixel 8 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro combined (455 grams), so yes, it's heavy, but it's due to the protective chassis and battery. For how well it's made, it's worth every gram.

To sum up, Oukitel WP35 is a good smartphone, and its main advantage is the battery capacity and operating time without the need for charging, which - let me remind you - is not the fastest. It's great that there are such phones, because there is something to talk about, and this model stands out in several places, lags in a few, and at least it is interesting.

The Oukitel WP35 is marketed as a durable, slimline smartphone with a battery life that will outlast most. That gives you a relatively good idea about what to expect. However, while it is slimline compared to some of the larger rugged smartphones with a similar battery life, placed side-by-side against an iPhone 15 Pro or Vivo X100, it looks decidedly large and bulky. But, while the iPhone struggles to see a day through without a charge, the WP35 will happily sit waiting for up to 60 days on a single charge. Sure enough, the phone was given a full charge, set up, and briefly tested, then set aside for a month before being retested. The battery level after the testing had dropped to 26%. Good for a phone that hasn't seen a hint of charge in over a month, albeit on standby.

The Oukitel WP35 smartphone is a rugged smartphone that is clearly designed for budget users but still manages to add its name to popular mid-range smartphones. It has decent performance, a great display, good cameras, and a fantastic battery and they are the highlights of the smartphone. It even has 5G connectivity, which should deliver greater speeds. So, considering all that the smartphone offers, the pricing seems decent. Its only downside is the lack of super fast charging but considering the price of the smartphone, it is acceptable. The closest alternative to this smartphone would be the Xiaomi Redmi 12, which provides better specs and is available at a better price tag, but you lose out on the large battery of this Oukitel smartphone.

As with all rugged phones, this has a very specific use case. It is very good at completing tasks where you would be outside, on a building site, or in an otherwise dirty or dangerous environment. Dropping it in such areas, assuming you don't lose it in the process, will likely result in absolutely no damage to the device, although I do wonder how the plastic backplate will hold up after prolonged use and exposure to rough environments. As I have said in previous rugged phone reviews, you can probably forget about using it as a main phone and sticking it in your Bermuda shorts or pant pockets. If you do, however, the ever-present risk of being pantsied by your own phone will haunt you. This is true even for a big guy like myself. It is properly heavy at 360g.

It is a small display format for smartphones. You shouldn't be severely defective in vision, and you won't see much detail on the screen and only have a small resolution available. For that, the device should be small and handy, easy to transport.

74.43%: This rating is poor. More than three quarters of the models are rated better. That is rather not a purchase recommendation. Even if verbal ratings in this area do not sound that bad ("sufficient" or "satisfactory"), they are usually euphemisms that disguise a classification as a below-average laptop.
