The OneXPlayer 3 has moved from crowdfunding to retail and is now available for pre-order via OneXPlayer’s official store. However, prices have not remained the same.

One month ago, the OneXPlayer 3 was unveiled on crowdfunding platform Indiegogo with a price tag of $1,399 for the base model (24GB/512GB). Crowdfunding has now ended and the Arc G3 Extreme handheld has moved to OneXPlayer's official store, where it is now available for pre-order. Shipping is expected to commence sometime in late August.

Unfortunately, however, the original crowdfunding prices are no longer available to new buyers, meaning that all three configurations of the OneXPlayer 3 — 24GB/512GB, 24GB/1TB and 32GB/1TB — are now $100 more expensive at $1,499, $1,599 and $1799, respectively.

Price increases notwithstanding, the base model of the OneXPlayer 3 is still the cheapest handheld powered by the Intel Arc G3; the closest comparable alternative is the MSI Claw 8 EX AI+ with a starting price of $1799 (32TB/1TB), putting it in direct competition with the 32GB/1TB variant of the OneXPlayer 3.

Both the OneXPlayer 3 and MSI Claw handhelds overlap in a lot of areas and differ in others. The biggest advantage of the OneXPlayer 3 is its modularity: it is supposed to function as a handheld, tablet and laptop, hence its marketed description as a "3-in-1 gaming and productivity handheld". The MSI Claw, on the other hand, has non-detachable controllers and no modular accessories such as keyboard attachments or controller grips.
