OnePlus 15 battery endurance put to the test against OPPO & Apple's flagships

The OnePlus 15 arrived on the global market this month, following its October launch in China, boasting an impressive 7,300mAh battery. For users accustomed to smaller power packs, this massive capacity immediately begged the question: how long can it actually last? A new battery test offers a clear picture of the OnePlus 15’s real-world stamina.

The YouTube channel "Lover Of Tech" puts the OnePlus 15 through its paces. This is the same channel that tested the battery king Oppo Find X9 Pro recently using the same methodology. This time, they compared the new OnePlus flagship against the aforementioned Oppo Find X9 Pro and the ever-popular iPhone 17 Pro Max. Notably, unlike the European version of the Vivo X300 series, the OnePlus 15 maintains its massive 7,300mAh battery globally, making these test results relevant for all regional variants—the same case for OPPO's latest premium flagship.

OnePlus 15 Battery test results are massive, but OPPO still reigns

The test involved an intense series of tasks, each running for an hour until only one phone remained. This gauntlet included demanding activities like 4K/60fps video recording, heavy social media use (X Spaces, TikTok, Instagram Reels), continuous video and music playback (YouTube), and even gaming with titles like Subway Surfers and Asphalt. The last tasks were a WhatsApp video call and TikTok live streaming, then the loop restarts.

The results confirmed the OnePlus 15's excellent endurance. It managed to last an impressive 9 hours, 39 minutes, and 28 seconds under this demanding regimen. This easily translates to a full day, or even more, of typical usage for most users.

However, the Oppo Find X9 Pro, with its only slightly larger 7,500mAh battery, maintained its undisputed lead in the endurance charts with 11 on-screen hours. The iPhone 17 Pro Max, a device typically praised for its solid battery life, reached 7 hours, 37 minutes, and 42 seconds in the same test. The consistent results for the Oppo and iPhone across the YouTuber's previous test support the reliability of the methodology.

While the OnePlus 15 delivers strong, all-day battery performance, the gap in endurance between it and the Oppo Find X9 Pro suggests there might still be room for software optimization. Nevertheless, for those eyeing the OnePlus 15, battery anxiety should be a thing of the past.
