Official: Nubia teases 'unexpected surprise' while revealing MWC 2026 plans

Nubia has confirmed that it will be attending MWC 2026 next week in Barcelona. Scheduled to run between March 2 and March 6, the event will serve as an opportunity for companies to show off new and existing devices. For instance, Honor is using MWC 2026 to present its Magic V6 foldable globally.
Meanwhile, Nubia intends to exhibit the Z80 Ultra at the same event. Released internationally in November, the Z80 Ultra combines a 35 mm primary camera with a 7,200 mAh battery and a 144 Hz OLED display boasting under-panel camera (UPC) technology to hide its front-facing camera. Also, the Z80 Ultra utilises Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset to rival other flagships like the OnePlus 15 (curr. $899 on Amazon).
Additionally, the company has indicated that it will be unveiling another device during MWC 2026 too. For reference, the company already sells the Flip3 and Nubia Fold in Japan. Potentially, one or both devices could be Nubia's 'unexpected surprise', although this is only speculative on our part. Nubia's full quote is as follows:
Nubia Z80 Ultra is the headline at MWC—but it's not the only thing happening. If you register as a user on the nubia international store now, you'll receive an unexpected surprise in March. The details haven't been revealed yet, and that's the point: it's not about chasing rumors—it's about securing your place before the announcement lands.
Not a hard sell. A simple invitation: join early, stay informed, and be ready when the surprise arrives.
