Official: New GoPro Micro Four Third action camera launching globally for $699

GoPro has now released its Mission 1 and Mission 1 Pro action cameras globally. Available ahead of schedule, the pair will not begin shipping until the end of May. Those action cameras are not the only way in which GoPro hopes to surpass Insta360 and DJI, though.
Instead, GoPro has also created the Mission 1 ILS with support for Micro Four Third (MFT) lenses. While this variant is not available yet, the company has shared more details about its impending release. Previously, GoPro only indicated that ILS pre-orders would start 'beginning Q3 2026'.

Now, the company has confirmed that the ILS will cost just as much as its Pro counterpart. Thus, the camera will reach the US for $699 while being priced at €699 in the Eurozone and £599 in the UK. Additionally, one will be able to add a 1-year GoPro Premium subscription at no extra cost.
According to GoPro's website, the Mission 1 Pro ILS will only include the camera itself. Currently, the company's product page claims that availability will start between July and September 2026 too. However, its UK website adds that the Pro ILS is only 'temporarily out of stock'. Please see our launch article for more details.
