Leak: Canon EOS R6 V to launch this week with full-frame sensor and RAW video

After rumors have already revealed the first details of the Canon EOS R8 II with retro design, CanonRumors has already been able to find out a lot of information about the EOS R6 V. According to this, it is a better equipped full-frame counterpart to the Canon EOS R50 V ($619 on Amazon).
The design should hardly differ from the EOS R50 V, even if the EOS R6 V is supposedly thicker and heavier. Canon is reportedly using the same 32.5 megapixel full-frame sensor that is also used in the EOS R6 Mark III. As usual with Canon's "V" models, the focus of the camera is on video - the camera is said to be able to record 12-bit RAW videos. An extended cooling system with ventilation openings on the side should enable longer video recordings without the sensor overheating, although Canon apparently won't use an active fan.
Compared to the EOS R50 V, the EOS R6 V will also have an additional control dial and a higher-resolution 3-inch display. A full-size HDMI port allows the connection of a monitor or external recorder. A brand new Canon RF 20 - 50 mm f/4 L IS PZ lens, a power zoom lens whose focal length can be adjusted via the camera, is said to be announced together with the camera. The Canon EOS R6 V is expected to be officially unveiled on Wednesday, April 22. It is not yet known at what price the camera will be offered.
