OPPO's already action-packed Inno Day event has also introduced the OEM's latest augmented reality (AR) device. The second-gen Air Glass is touted as durable yet super-lightweight, and to come in various styles and support corrective lenses if necessary. They are rated for AR applications such as real-time captions and translation, head-mounted navigation and conferencing.

OPPO has already thrown in a launch for the Find N2 series, first-gen Flip variant and all, in conjunction with its annual Inno Day developer conference this year. The event has gone even further beyond that category into other areas of the latest results of the OEM's research and development.

They include the new Andes Smart Cloud to go with its Pantanal cross-device ecosystem; the new OHealth-series H1 family health monitor and the MariSilicon Y audio SoC as well as the second-gen Air Glass.

This updated take on AR spectacles from OPPO has launched with frames that leave the accessory weighing just 38 grams (g), yet is said to be robust enough for everyday wear.

OPPO claims to have developed a "world-first" SRG-diffractive waveguide lens for the Air Glass 2, allowing the user to see its heads-up-style output clearly as they enjoy or are quided about their day with it. OPPO also envisions that its latest foray into AR tech will be used by the hearing-impaired for text conversion.
