Nothing will unveil its first true flagship, the Phone (3), on July 1. While most Nothing phones have not been generally available in North America, the Phone (3) will reportedly be available via general sale in the US and Canada. Nothing CEO Carl Pei states that the smartphone market in the US is dominated by two companies but people are looking for more options.
Nothing has been making phones since 2022 and its first phone, the Nothing Phone (1), carved a niche in the Android smartphone market. But it was only available in the US through a beta program. The Nothing Phone (2) (Buy on Amazon), however, was generally available in US and Canada. Even the CMF phones were not generally available in North America. Fortunately, the Nothing Phone (3) will follow its predecessor and will be available via Amazon and the Nothing website in North America.
Carl Pei reportedly confirmed to TechCrunch that the company is ready to take its long-term plans to the next step in the US. “Phone (3) is not just another launch. It is a signal of where we are as a company. The smartphone market in the U.S. is dominated by two players, but a lot of people are hungry for something different,” Pei reportedly said.
The report goes on to state that the Phone (3) will support AT&T and T-Mobile with multi-band support for 4G and 5G. In Canada, Nothing is partnering with Best Buy to sell its upcoming flagship. The company’s first over-ear headphones, the Nothing Headphone (1), will also release alongside the Phone (3) and be available via retail channels.
The Phone (3) will be a flagship and is said to start at $800 but Carl Pei has teased around a $1,000 price tag (converted from £800). It could be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, have a triple rear camera setup, and boast a 5,000 mAh+ battery.
