Nothing Phone (3): New leak highlights design and camera module layout

Nothing has been steadily hyping up the launch of its true flagship offering: the Nothing Phone (3). An earlier teaser hinted at a radical redesign-the complete absence of the company's iconic glyph interface. There was some confusion around what it would be replaced with, and if a new leak from Max Jambor is accurate, the answer is 'nothing'.

The Nothing Phone (3) render shown by Max reveals a Nothing-esque design, complete with three camera lenses placed asymmetrically in a circular camera housing. It bears little resemblance to the recently announced Nothing Phone (3a) and Nothing Phone (3a) Pro, or even its predecessor for that matter. At first glance, there appears to be no signs of the iconic glyph interface, but that could have been obfuscated in purpose.

However, a closer look at the image shows 'Model A000'. This is definitely a placeholder value because the Nothing Phone (3a)'s actual model number was A024. And there appear to be some minor inconsistencies between the design shown here and Nothing's official teasers. Lastly, the rumoured Dot Matrix display is nowhere to be found, and if this is indeed the final design, there isn't much room for it to truly stand out.

As far as its other specs are concerned, the Nothing Phone (3), much like the Nothing Phone (2), will offer flagship-tier hardware, complete with a Snapdragon 8 series SoC and a 5,000 mAh battery. Its cameras are still a mystery, but it is only a matter of time before the company spills its secrets, as it has done many times before.
