Nothing Ear (1): Black version of minimal earbuds will be purchasable using fiat money or cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Dogecoin and Ethereum
Nothing has revealed its latest pair of earbuds, which leaked last month. As expected, the company has announced a black version of the Ear (1), the white version of which it unveiled in July. As Nothing's photos show, the black model retains the partially transparent case from the original model. The same applies to the earbuds themselves.
Technically, nothing has changed with the company's new earbuds. Simply, they are a colour change and nothing else. Accordingly, the earbuds still have 11.6 mm drivers, IPX4 certification and active noise cancellation. While Nothing trumpets the sound quality that its earbuds offer, many reviewers did not consider them to be anything special.
Nothing claims that its earbuds are climate neutral, but that is only true if you pay for them using fiat currencies. Alternatively, Nothing will allow people to purchase a pair using Bitcoin (BTC), Dogecoin (DOGE), Etherum (ETH) or USD Coin (USDC). The earbuds will be orderable from December 13 through Nothing's website.
