Nitecore is primarily known for its high-quality flashlights, but the company also offers a wide range of other devices, gadgets for outdoor activities as well as charging solutions. Now, Nitecore has launched the Pocket 10000, its very first carbon fiber power bank with a built-in USB-C cable.
This pretty much sums up the key feature of the new Pocket 10000. For the first time, the manufacturer is selling a power bank with an integrated USB cable. This feature can be found in many other portable batteries on the market, including some products from Anker, Sharge, or Ugreen. But for Nitecore, this is new territory.
The short USB-C cable is attached to the upper edge of the power bank. The connector is foldable and can be locked into place for transport or folded up when needed. Unlike some other power banks for smartphones, the USB-C cable of the Nitecore Pocket 10000 cannot be used as a carrying strap.
From a visual perspective, the power bank looks rather simple and elegant with a black housing and carbon fiber frame. It's also relatively lightweight at just 5.6 ounces. The manufacturer has equipped the portable charging solution with a 10,000mAh battery, which can fully recharge many regular smartphones once or twice. Up to 20W output and 18W input are possible via the aforementioned USB-C cable.
There is an additional USB-C port with up to 22.5W, which means that two devices can be charged simultaneously. The Nitecore power bank further supports PD and QC 3.0, but it does sport a traditional USB-A port. Last but not least, the accessory automatically switches into a low current mode when charging wireless headphones, earbuds or similar smaller gadgets.
The new Nitecore Pocket 10000 power bank is already available in the manufacturer’s official online store for an MSRP of $59.95.
