AMD's David McAfee confirmed the company will show off the Radeon RX 9070 XT and Radeon RX 9070 later this month. Subsequently, the GPUs are expected to go on sale in March.

After months of dodging the question and dropping vague hints, AMD has finally revealed when it plans to show off the Radeon 9000 series. It will be revealed on February 28 (8 AM EST) via a live stream on AMD's official YouTube channel. It has been rumoured the RX 9070 XT and RX 9070 will hit shelves on March 5.David McAfee tacitly confirms this by saying, "Get ready to make it yours when it hits shelves in early March."

This comes a week after Nvidia plans on selling the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti, the Radeon RX 9070 XT's main competitor. But, like its high-end counterparts, the RTX 5070 Ti will reportedly be afflicted by low supply. Whether that applies to the regular RTX 5070 remains to be seen. At this point, all AMD needs to do is ensure a steady supply of GPUs to crush the upper-mid-range segment.

A leak from earlier today confirmed the RX 9070 XT's key specs such as 16GB GDDR6 VRAM on a 256-bit bus, 4,096 shaders (64 CUs) and a boost clock of 3.1 GHz. There have been numerous rumours about its price, one of which states the regular RX 9070 could cost $499 and the RX 9070 XT $599. Of course, the actual figure will be higher once you factor in AIB models and local taxes.
