The Radeon RX 9070 XT will arrive in March and as is tradition with upcoming product launches, especially GPUs, rumors and leaks are doing the rounds. The latest leak shines some light on the specifications for the Radeon RX 9070 XT, claiming that it will feature 4096 cores and have 16GB VRAM, along with some other details. Additionally, the same leaker also shared a gaming benchmark that shows a high FPS at 1080p, but details about the visual settings are unclear.
The leak comes from a known X user by the name of HKEPC (@hkepcmedia) who shared a screenshot of GPU-Z, a system utility that shows key information about GPUs, but the name of the GPU seems to be blurred out. It is, however, a Navi 48 GPU and the leaker claims it to be the Radeon RX 9070 XT. The screenshot shows 4096 unified shared or cores, along with 16GB GDDR6 VRAM and a 256-bit memory bus. It also shows a boost clock speed of 3.1 GHz which is likely an overclocked value.
The GPU-Z version used for this is 2.62.0 which is the latest version of the application. The screenshot also shows the Navi 48 GPU supporting PCIe 5.0 but that’s to be expected.
Furthermore, the same leaker also shared a screenshot of a benchmark tool for Monster Hunter Wilds, and it shows an average of 211.71 FPS at 1920x1080. The benchmark was performed using the Intel Core Ultra 9 285K CPU, 48GB RAM, and at Very High settings. Notably, the name of the GPU has been blurred out once again. Looking at the FPS, it’s quite high, which suggest that the Radeon RX 9070 XT will have no problems running the game, as well as other similarly heavy titles, at 1080p. But it also points towards the use of FSR or frame generation so fans of Team Red will have to wait a bit longer for raw performance numbers.
According to the recent price leak, the Radeon RX 9070 XT is expected to be priced around $699 with some board partner cards going as high as $860. In comparison, the Founders Edition RTX 5070 and RTX 5070 Ti are priced at $549 and $749 respectively, with board partner cards priced higher.
