AMD CEO Lisa Su has revealed the company's plans for RDNA 4 in a recent earnings call. Some Radeon 9000 series GPUs will go on sale in early March.

AMD has finally revealed when it plans to sell the highly anticipated Radeon RX 9070 XT and RX 9070. In its Q4 2024 earnings call, CEO Lisa Su confirmed RDNA 4 would hit shelves sometime in March 2025. Here's the pertinent part of the transcript (H/T The Motley Fool):

RDNA 4 delivers significantly better rate tracing performance and add support for AI-powered upscaling technology that will bring high-quality 4K gaming to mainstream players when the first Radeon 9070 series GPUs go on sale in early March.

This information sits in line with a leak from yesterday which said AMD would host a dedicated RDNA 4 event in the end of February. But, we still don't know how many graphics cards AMD plans to show off. If its CES 2025 teaser is anything to go by, only the top-spec Radeon RX 9070 XT and Radeon RX 9070 will get shown off.

They will compete with Nvidia's GeForce RTX 5070 Ti, which is rumoured to debut on February 20. Dr Su says RDNA 4 offers "significantly better rate tracing performance" than RDNA 3. Whether it will be enough to put the Radeon RX 9070 XT and RX 9070 on par with Nvidia's offerings remains to be seen. Additionally, as AMD's first AI-powered upscaling tech, FSR 4.0 also has a lot riding on it.
